Aneel Kumar Ambavaram
Aneel has about 16 years of experience in working with small and marginal farming communities. He has a proven track record first with leading multinational companies followed by rural development organizations. Sustainable farming, Organic and FairTrade cotton, team building and leadership, project designing and management, training / capacity building programs, field reseach and marketing are his areas of expertise.
Aneel is a social entrepreneur and founded two successful innovative social enterprise projects. Beyond India, he worked for a number of international assignments that included feasibility studies. He spearheads Grameena Vikas Kendram Society for Rural Development, an NGO working for sustainability causes in India. Aneel has a bachelor`s degree in Agricultural Sciences from A. N. G. Ranga Agricultural University, India and Msc degree in Organic Agriculture from Wageningen University, The Netherlands. Also, he is a Master Trainer certificate holder (FAO of the UN) in conducting Farmer Field Schools.
Sarat Babu Gidda
Sarat Babu Gidda is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering who has spent part of his academic tenure at McGill University in Montreal. Sarat's entrepreneurial journey started in his final year of graduation when he joined Grameena Vikas Kendram to realise his aspiration of becoming a Social Entrepreneur. He has 4 years experience in Program Management, Supply Chains, Strategy and Operations. Sound analytical capacity, risk mitigation, strategy, negotiation and public speaking are his key skills. He has a deep interest in the fields of sustainable textiles, regenerative farming, climate change, sustainable energy and circular economy.
Sanne van den Dungen
Director - Sustainability & Operations
Sanne has MSc in Plant Sciences with a specialisation in nutrient management and smallholder farming systems. She has two bachelor’s degrees, one in Organic Production Systems from Wageningen University, The Netherlands and the second one is in Fine Arts.
Sanne is an expert in sustainability across cotton supply chains and has extensive knowledge and experience on Cradle to Cradle and Circular economy and restorative business concepts that is gained from years of work experience at EPEA (Environmental Protection Encouragement Agency). She has firsthand experience in designing organic farming systems. Sanne can contribute both as a leader and as a team player for success of organic cotton projects. She is particularly interested in building cotton value chains from farmer to end consumer.
Director - Strategy
Marci is an internationally recognized ECO lifestyle visionary, authority, innovator, and educator and has been instrumental in driving authenticity, environmental leadership & social justice worldwide for over two decades. Marci is the founder of MetaWear, sits on the Board of the Organic Trade Association, the Textile Exchange, Fashion Revolution USA, and Cradle-to-Cradle’s Fashion Positive, and is a founding member of Chetna Organic, a non-profit in India with over 15,000 farmers in their organic, Fair Trade cooperative. She brings decades of innovation, sales, marketing, and standards experience to the RESET program.
Director - Resource Mobilization
Sameer has over 20 years of experience in Operations and Projects with the last 12 years in senior management roles. He has successfully led and scaled up projects in the varied industries like IT, mining and social sector. His last assignment was as a Chief Operating Officer for one of the largest construction projects of the Aga Khan Development Network in Mumbai. He is passionate about working in the field of sustainable livelihoods and poverty eradication. His personal interests are travel and adventure sports.
Project Manager - ZBNF
Raju is a professional social worker with a Master degree from Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh. He has a diverse experience in Natural Resources Management, Sustainable agriculture, Institution building, livelihood development, capacity building, women centric development and building model villages/communities. After spending 20 years in the development sector with various marginalized groups such as Scheduled caste & tribes, women, farmer groups, he is currently spearheading ZBNF (Zero Budget Natural Farming) project with the goal to mobilize 10,000 families from conventional to natural farming practices. Raju has ability to perform as an independent leader and as an innovative team player. He is highly proficient in program planning, implementation and monitoring and has expertise in the areas of livelihoods, institutions and developing training module materials. He is passionate about the conservation of natural ecosystems and biodiversity.
Tholisaku Nagulaiah is an MSc. graduate in social work. He has worked extensively on agriculture and rural development projects for the past 15 years. He has an expertise in capacity and institutional building. He has worked devotedly towards gender equality and rural development by improving livelihoods in the rural communities in the South of India.
Director - Resource Mobilization
Srinivasulu Doodati is a graduate in Social work. He has extensive experience in project management and extension activities. He has worked on multi projects both private and government.
Apoorva Reddy's mission for the next 5 years is to serve and touch lives of a million people making less than $5 a day. For 7+ years, she was on various founding teams at the intersection of business, technology and impact - particularly serving smallholder farmers and refugee populations. Currently, she is working towards applying digital tools to serve low and middle-income communities so they are prepared for the Future of Work- an idea that Automation and Robotics will change our work as we know it.
Apoorva works within the Digital Learning team at The World Group and serves as an advisory judge for the Big Ideas Contest at UC Berkeley. She is an MS in Public Policy and Management graduate from Carnegie Mellon University.
Madhur is a recent graduate with an MSc. Agrofood Chain from the University of Toulouse III, Toulouse, France. During his bachelors in biotechnology, he participated in different social projects and worked for non-profit organizations. He is passionate about sustainable cropping systems and agroecology. Having worked on different research projects in India and abroad, he has gained robust experience in the field of plant physiology and crop modelling. He has strong aspirations to be a social entrepreneur and work towards strengthening local food chains and boost rural development through agriculture development in developing countries like India. Apart from this, Madhur is also trying to take some time off to follow his love for photography to capture stories from rural and tribal regions in India.
Drishti is a recent graduate in Environmental Studies and Resource Management from TERI School of Advanced Studies and Bachelors in Zoology from University of Delhi. She has undertaken a number of social and environmental impact projects during the course of her post-graduation. She is passionate about working in the direction of developing sustainable solutions for rural empowerment and urban development to ensure sustainable production and consumption of resources. Her long-term vision is to develop an entrepreneurial venture that embodies the Slow Clothing philosophy. In her free time, you are most likely to find her, either reading or planning the next vacation.
Himakiran is an organic farmer and promoter of organic farming in Tamilnadu. He is passionate about agriculture and has spent quite some time deliberating on issues it faces and networking with govt officials, bank staff, farmer leaders/groups. He has experience working with a few thousand farmers over 8 districts in Tamilnadu over the past 6 years.
